Subledger Accounting

Workshop Description

The Oracle R12 Subledger Accounting course teaches you about the rule-based accounting engine and how the setup and modification of SLA (Subledger Accounting) rules impact Oracle GL entries and reporting. You will learn how the SLA engine integrates with the subledgers in Oracle R12, how to view the pre-seeded Oracle rules and accounting setups, and how to create new rules to meet your company's accounting needs using the Accounting Methods Builder (AMB). You will also learn how to inquire and report on subledger accounting entries using the new reports available in Oracle R12.

Workshop Overview

By the end of the course you will be able to:
  • Trace the setup and flow for Oracle SLA (Subledger Accounting) rules
  • Create journal entries and transfer them to General Ledger
  • Use the new reports available for  subledger journal entries
  • Create new accounting rules using the Accounting Methods Builder (AMB)

Prerequisite knowledge and skills:
  • Basic knowledge of Oracle AP (Accounts Payable)
  • Basic knowledge of Oracle AR (Accounts Receivable)
  • Basic knowledge of Oracle GL (General Ledger)
